History of Cicero

Cicero is often synonymous with organized crime, gangs, and racism. We’re not seeking to erase the bleaker truths of the past, but to paint the full picture. We’d like to capture the everyday, working class, break your back for your family immigrant class that built the streets, because he’s as important to us as any of the sensational stories that seem to catapult our town into the spotlight. We will, of course, be covering the sensational and much talked about, as well as some lesser known facts about our history.

In this section, we’ll provide articles on the history of the town, from its early inception through recent history.
